What does the Bells' FTTH initiative mean for Worldwide Packets?

What does the Bells' FTTH initiative mean for Worldwide Packets?

One name that's been conspicuously absent in the last several days' discussion of the Bells' FTTH intitiative has been Worldwide Packets. They were an early FTTH (fiber to the home) vendor supplying active Ethernet technology for several FTTH systems in the Western U.S. They've often been strident critics of the PON (passive optical network) technology the Bells are interested in.

If the Bells go with a PON approach, what effect will that have on WWP's business with others such as small telcos and municipal utilities?
