"A Wireless Waste: Is Wi-FI a bubble ripe for popping?"

A discussion on a message board of the report recently from prominent technology consulting firm Forrester Research predicting that investment in public wireless hot spots is likely a waste of money. As with any message board of this sort, some comments are dumb, others insightful.

The entire site is worth a look at. It has message boards where broadband users can discuss and rate the quality of their broadband service provider. They also have a number of free tools you can use to check the quality of your own broadband connection. Finally, they have daily discussions of broadband-related news; I try to check their news summary page every day or so.

Particularly worthwhile are the detailed, thoughtful interviews that Karl Bode conducts every so often with industry figures like Jim Baller and Bruce Kushnick (these always show up on the news summary page when Karl does them).
