FTTH briefing/tutorial scheduled for the FCC

FTTH briefing/tutorial scheduled for the FCC

"The FCC’s Office of Engineering and Technology is sponsoring a tutorial on “Fiber-to-the-Home Technology” on August 7, 2003 from 10:00 to 12:00 noon."

The tutorial will also be web cast.

See the FCC notice for more details.

Jim Farmer, Chief Technical Officer of Wave7 Optics and VP of the Fiber to the Home Council, is the presenter, so I would expect this to be both good and vendor-neutral. (Jim is a legend on the technical side of the cable TV industry -- see Fiber Planner's 'Recommended books' page for a link to his classic textbook on engineering cable TV systems).
