"Bright Telecommunications Brings 'Triple Play' Services to Western Australia Residents Using Alloptic FTTH Solution"
Power utility rolls out fiber to the home services:
"Alloptic, Inc., a pioneer in the development and deployment of passive optical networks (PONs), today announced that its Ethernet PON (EPON) solution was chosen by Bright Telecommunications of Perth, Australia, for a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) system deployed in the city’s Victoria Park neighborhood. The new system provides a bundle of television, Internet and telephone services that exceed the current service offerings from incumbent service providers with minimal changes within a subscriber’s residence. In addition, the cost of the bundled services is very competitive with what is offered individually by other providers."
"Bright Telecommunications, a subsidiary of Western Power, is using the Alloptic GigaForce™ product platform to link Victoria Park residents to a fully optical, converged network with unparalleled bandwidth"
