New York: "Waterloo town board may help fund cable study"

"WATERLOO, NY — The Town Board is considering making a contribution to a study for an overall county-wide fiber optic cable. Pam Birmingham, Seneca County director of information technology, addressed the board and asked if the town would be interested in contributing to the assessment of whether the county would benefit from having one. Birmingham said at first the county looked into installing a fiber optic cable from the county office building to the site of the new county jail at the Seneca Army Depot. Officials now want to look into extending the line to include other businesses, governments and schools."
