Telework/telecommuting update

Telework -- workers working out of their homes, usually with a broadband connection -- continues to be a field of growing interest. It offers big cities a way to substantially cut traffic congestion and air pollution and small towns away to attract high income professionals fed looking for a small town or rural environment. Here's a round-up of recent news:

"Comcast Debuts Teleworker Service in Dallas"

"Market drives workers to self-employment"

"The Office of the Future Today"
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg is struggling to update the quality of telecommunications in new York, both wireless and wireline.

"Telecommuting offers work alternative for some"
The U.S. government estimates 13 to 19 million U.S. workers are teleworkers.
