Iceland: Profile of's BPL (broadband over power line) system

Swiss BPL (broadband over power line) vendor Ascom has an article from 2002 on its' web site describing a BPL system it provided Icelandic Reykjavik Energy's partner. The article is a bit confusing -- especially since it keeps referring to Greenland and Iceland interchangeably! Since 2002, has gone on to deploy FTTH (fiber to the home) technology. I'd be interested in hearing from any blog readers in Iceland what their experiences were with BPL and how that fits with their decision to move on to providing FTTH. (Maybe someone can explain the Iceland-Greenland confusion, too.)
