Tennessee: Jackson Energy Authority gets final FTTH approval

The Tennessee Regulatory Authority unanimously approved Jackson Energy Authority's application to provide telecommunications service in connection with its' FTTH (fiber to the home) project. JEA said it would start stringing cable today; work had already started on the cable TV head end in December.

The first of 34,000 customers should be on-line in April; total system construction will take 18 months.
