FCC clarifies procedure for filing BPL-related comments

In response to confusion over which docket number to use in filing comments on its' NPRM (Notice of Proposed Rule Making) for access BPL (broadband over power line) systems, the FCC has posted instructions on how to file electronic comments. Docket 04-37 should be used for any new comments from this date forward.

To search for comments filed with the FCC on BPL, go to its' Filed Comments search page. Enter 03-104 in the "Proceeding" search box and hit the "Retrieve Document List" button to find older comments; use 04-37 for newer comments.

The ARRL, a group strongly opposed to BPL deployment, has a useful page with links to all corporate filings with the FCC as well as selected individual filings -- both pro- and anti-BPL.
