Utah: Local paper backs Cedar City group's efforts to revive city's participation in UTOPIA FTTH project

From the Spectrum:
"IN OUR VIEW: A group of Cedar City residents is trying to come up with the $617,000 the city needs to join the UTOPIA project, a high-speed, broadband fiber optics telecommunications service recently voted down by the City Council. The council voted against the measure 3-2, with concerns about where the so-called set-aside money would come from. If this industrious bunch of residents and merchants comes up with the money, one of the three opponents to the measure should be persuaded to ask for another vote at a future council meeting."

"We'd like to see that happen."
